How to Make Chamorro Food Cooklet Series
...a fun collection of Chamorro recipes in bite-sized pieces!

PaulaQ's How to Make Chamorro Food cooklet series. Recipes are divided into smaller booklets, er, cooklets. Each cooklet will have an average of fifteen recipes. The cooklets will include past and present foods that are common in Chamorro households and at Chamorro parties. There will be recipes from old, recipes of new, recipes borrowed from other cultures, and one recipe that’s blue. Dishes will be from Paula's cookbooks, website, and recipes that are still in files that have yet to be posted. Previously shared recipes got a formatting facelift though the recipes themselves will not change because they have worked since they were first made available. To date, there are eleven cooklets planned, and each will be published as they are finished. Print copies will be sold on Amazon.com.

How to Make Chamorro Kelaguen & Titiyas

If there was an islander dictionary and you looked up the definition of love, you'd find a picture of a coconut. You want to make a dish tastier? Add coconut or coconut milk. How to Make Chamorro Coconut Desserts (cooklet #1) is a delectable collection of Chamorro coconut dessert recipes. There are 18 coconut dessert recipes in this cooklet that are loved by Chamorros as well as their friends who have enjoyed Chamorro food at barbecues and parties. Available on Amazon - click here.

Kelaguen (ke-la-gwen) is a ceviche-like citrus dish, and in the Chamorro culture, it is akin to pizza. There are different flavors of kelaguen, like there are a variety of pizzas, but what ties all kelaguen together – as in all pizzas having a crust, sauce, cheese, and topping – is lemon juice, onions, and hot pepper, or donne’ (dogh-knee). Chamorros use the term kelaguen the way Americans use the word Xerox instead of copy. For instance, did you make chicken kelaguen, or are you going to kelaguen the chicken? How to Make Chamorro Kelaguen & Titiyas, (cooklet #2), is a delicious compilation of kelaguen and titiyas recipes, the ultimate Chamorro savory snack. Coming soon to Amazon on November 15/16, depending on your time zone.
